Breakfast at Tiffany’s

I’ve heard a lot about Audrey Hepburn. I think she was one of my Mom’s fave actresses during the good oldies. I’ve also heard many times about her most famous movie: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, but never saw it. And when I was in the Big Apple last year, the bus tour took us to the location where this movie was shot!

When I knew that it will be played on New Year, I was very determined to see it! (could’ve bought the DVD, but prefer watching it on the big screen tho’).

Based on Truman Capote’s novel, Breakfast at Tiffany’s is the story of a young woman in New York City who meets a young man when he moves into her apartment building. He is with an older woman who is very wealthy, but he wants to be a writer. She is working as an expensive escort and searching for a rich, older man to marry.

Funny movie indeed and since this is the first Audrey Hepburn’s movie I’ve seen, I must say that I quite like her acting. She is gorgeous too, no wonder her black dress, big sun glasses and hairdo was such a trend back then. And the way she sang “Moon River” – who wouldn’t love it!
