Tim Hore goes to Cirebon

My colleagues have been planning for a weekend trip quite some time and yet we never had the trip, well, due to different super hectic schedule of the Tim Hore members πŸ˜›

After months of planning, we finally made the day trip to Cirebon! The “happening” weekend getaway from Jakarta, since Bandung is too crowded already!

We took the first train from Gambir station – which I was almost late considering that I am not a morning person (the train was at 5:30AM, what do you expect, hahaha!), after three hours trip we arrived in Cirebon.

Our “ultimate” goals on this trips including tasting all famous Cirebon’s food, to mention a few:

nasi jamblang bu Nur – rice served with any side dish you wish for πŸ˜€

empal gentong – beef served in coconut milk soup (this one is tasty)

tahu gejrot – tofu served with sweet-sour-spicy sauce

nasi lengko – not in our original plan, but since nasi jamblang bu Nur had a super long queue – then we had this as breakkie (just rice served with bean sprout, tempeand soya ketchup) – not my fave!

Next on our to do list is shopping! No way you travel 3 hours on train without shopping and buying the famous Cirebon’s batik!

We also visited some interesting place in Carbon such as the ruin of rock castle and Cirebon Palace.

A day trip to Cirebon with Tim Hore MFP3 was indeed fun! It’s always great to spend a day or two with our colleagues without talking and thinking about work, who’s with me? πŸ˜€
