The main reason I decided to take a stop in Orlando on our way from NYC to Fort Lauderdale was because I wanted to visit the two amusement theme parks there: Disney World – the Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios with its world of Harry Potter. Yes, Im a big fan of Harry Potter 🙂
The hotel we (my sister and I) stayed in Orlando, Clarion Suite Maingate provides daily shuttle to all the parks, so we didn’t have to spend money on taxi since the parks are quite in distance.
You can purchase entrance ticket for both Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure that are connected by a Hogwart Train journey from Kingcross Station to the Hogsmeade on the other side. Kinda cool riding the Hogwart Train! A must ride!
Walt Disney World in Orlando is the biggest Disney park in the world and has four different parks located in different parts in Orlando. Im not quite fond of Disney characters except Goofy and Pluto since I love dogs, obviously, that was why we only visited the Magic Kingdom, no specific reason, just felt that it is the most interesting one among the four.
I love the characters parade tho’! Where all the Disney characters walking along the Hollywood boulevard, dancing, singing, waving, blowing kisses, shaking our hands, and I also love seeing all the cute lil children dressing up in their favorite Disney characters: Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Captain Jack Sparrow, so very cute 😀
But when I get to chose, Universal is more my taste – most likely because of the dedicated Harry Potter world with its Hogwarts school, butter beer, the purple double-Decker Knight buss (and Stan Shunpike!), the Olivander’s wand shop, and everything about it! Not fair, hahaha 🙂
